ChiesApp — Church management software, built in Europe

Church member and family management

Every person in your church gets one record, and people link into their families. Search it, tag it, filter it, and let a rule keep a group up to date instead of rebuilding it every month. No more three spreadsheets, an old phone contact list and a WhatsApp group nobody can search.

One record for every person

Each person has a single record: contact details, address, date of birth, status (member, guest, new, moved away) and the custom fields your church actually needs. The categories are fixed, because they decide who counts as a member on your plan; roles, statuses, tags and custom fields are yours to name.

Search and filter across all of it. Tag people the way your team already talks about them, and save the filters you use every week so they are one click away.

Families at a glance

Link people into their family and the page reads your community back to you: how many households, how many with children, how many single adults, and which records are missing data you will need later.

Birthdays and anniversaries come up on their own, so nobody finds out a week late.

Lists and dynamic segments

A manual list holds whoever you put in it. A dynamic segment holds whoever matches a rule — under 30, active, in a given town, serving on a given team — and it recalculates itself every time the data changes. Someone joins the youth group, the segment already knows.

These are what you send messages from and what you build volunteer rotas from, without assembling the group again from scratch.

One thing to know up front: lists and segments sit in Communication, one of the two paid areas. Communication and Resources both open on the Ministry plan. Everything else on this page is in the free plan.

Import, export and duplicate cleanup

Bring your existing contacts in from a CSV file and export them again whenever you want. ChiesApp flags the likely duplicates and walks you through merging them into one record, keeping what each copy held.

Your data stays yours. Export is always there, and a member can be exported or erased on request.

Why churches in Europe pick it

ChiesApp is built in Europe, under European privacy rules, by people who run these modules in their own church every week. It is not a US product with a translation layer bolted on.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import our members from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Import your contacts from a CSV file, export them again whenever you want, and merge duplicates into a single record with the guided merge.

Is member data GDPR-compliant?

Yes. ChiesApp is built in Europe and GDPR-compliant, with a multi-tenant architecture and per-church data isolation: each church sees and manages only its own data. A member can be exported or erased on request.

How many members does the free plan cover?

Up to 30 contacts, with no credit card. Starter (80 members, 5 admins) only adds capacity; Ministry, Growth and Network go further.

Are lists and segments included in the free plan?

No. Lists and segments belong to Communication, one of two paid areas — the other is Resources — and both open on the Ministry plan. People, families, custom fields, tags, saved views, CSV import and export and duplicate merge are all in the free plan.

Is this an alternative to Planning Center or ChurchSuite?

For people and families, yes. It covers the same ground — records, families, custom fields, lists and segments — but it is built in Europe under European privacy rules, and it does not process payments or donations.
