ChiesApp pricing
Start free, then pay for your size. The weekly work of a church is in every plan, the free one included: people, attendance, teams and volunteer rotas, events, calendar and labels. The price follows how many members your community has, not how many admins log in. Two areas are paid, Communication and Resources, and both open on the Ministry plan.
How the pricing works
- Free up to 30 contacts, no credit card. On the free plan every person you add counts, members and guests together.
- Above 30 you move to a paid plan sized by members: Starter, Ministry, Growth, Network. On a paid plan you pay for members only, and guests become unlimited and free.
- The price never depends on how many admins or operators log in.
- Pay yearly and save 20%: more than two months free, every year.
- Churches joining during the beta lock a rate below list and keep it. From 2027, once ChiesApp is out of beta, list prices go up and a locked rate does not.
The plans, one by one
- Free: up to 30 contacts, 1 admin. The basics of church life.
- Starter: up to 80 members, 5 admins. Same features as Free, more room.
- Ministry: up to 150 members, 12 admins. The first plan that opens both paid areas, Communication and Resources. Most churches pick this one.
- Growth: up to 300 members, 25 admins, and event sign-ups with no monthly cap.
- Network: up to 800 members, with the number of admins agreed with you.
What every plan includes, and what Ministry opens
- In every plan, the free one included: people and families, labels (categories, roles and free tags), attendance, teams and volunteer rotas, events, calendar with two-way Google Calendar sync, activities, rooms, analytics, CSV export.
- Event registrations come with the Ministry plan, alongside the two paid areas: tiers, add-ons, discount codes, a PDF ticket with a QR code, and camera check-in at the door. Up to 300 sign-ups a month, with the cap lifted from Growth.
- Starter adds no features. It buys room: 80 members and 5 admins.
- From Ministry, Communication opens: spaces for members and volunteers, public pages for your church site, forms with conditional logic and answer analysis, lists and segments that update themselves.
- From Ministry, Resources opens with it: church finances (income and outgoings, fixed costs, projects, assets, reports) and the café till, with stock and shift cash-up.
Event sign-ups carry no fee
ChiesApp never handles the money, so there is nothing for us to take a cut of. Your church lists its own methods: bank transfer, PayPal, card on your own terminal, cash at the door. The person signing up pays the church directly and says so on the form, then a member of your staff confirms it or revokes it.
So there is no per-ticket fee and no percentage on what you take in. It also means ChiesApp is not a payment processor: you keep using whatever your church already uses to receive money.
What you are not paying for
- No payment or donation processing. The Finances module tracks and plans church money, it does not receive it.
- No commission on event fees, because the money does not pass through ChiesApp.
- No automatic or biometric attendance. A person marks it by hand.
- No ’AI’ badge sold as a feature, and no biometric kiosks.
- No lock-in. Export everything to CSV, change plan or leave whenever you want. Each church sees only its own data, GDPR-compliant, built and run in Europe.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free up to 30 contacts, no credit card, and it stays free. On the free plan every person you add counts, members and guests together. Above 30 you move to a paid plan, and from there guests and visitors are unlimited and free.
What does the Ministry plan give me that Starter does not?
Both paid areas. Communication (spaces, pages, forms, lists and segments) and Resources (finances, projects, reports, café till) open on Ministry, and neither is in Free or Starter. Starter only buys room: 80 members and 5 admins, same features as the free plan.
Are there fees on event registrations?
No. ChiesApp does not process the payment. Your church lists its own methods (bank transfer, PayPal, cash at the door), the person signing up declares they have paid, and your staff confirms it. The money never passes through ChiesApp, so there is nothing to charge a commission on. Sign-ups are capped at 300 a month, and the cap is lifted from the Growth plan.
Can I lock the price?
Yes. Churches joining now, during the beta, get a rate below list and keep it. From 2027, out of beta, list prices go up. A locked rate stays where it is.
What happens if my church outgrows its plan?
Nothing gets blocked and nothing turns up on your invoice by surprise. We tell you and offer the next plan up. You decide when to move.
Does ChiesApp handle online giving?
No, and that is deliberate. ChiesApp does not process payments or donations. The Finances module tracks and plans church money instead of receiving it, which keeps card and donor payment data out of the product entirely.
