Church calendar and events
Everything your church has on, in one view: Sunday services, midweek groups, one-off events, volunteer rotas and room bookings. Connect Google Calendar once and it stays in sync both ways, so what you plan on a laptop is already on everyone’s phone. Free up to 30 contacts, no credit card.
One calendar instead of four
Events, volunteer rotas and booked rooms sit in the same calendar. You see what is happening and where without opening three tools, and Sunday stands out, because that is where the week of a church actually turns.
- Events, shifts and room bookings in a single view.
- Filter by type of entry to cut the week down to what you need.
- Day, week and month views.
- Overlapping room bookings are caught before two groups turn up in the same hall.
Recurring services, one-off events
Set the Sunday service up once and it repeats on its own. Skip a date, move one, or change a single occurrence without rebuilding the series. Camps, conferences and members’ meetings go in as one-off events with their own leader and details.
- Patterns and exceptions: the service repeats itself, you skip a date when you need to.
- A leader named on every event, so nobody has to ask who is running it.
- Rooms booked with approval, recurring bookings included, plus a public booking page.
- Activities and groups on the same calendar as the services.
Two-way Google Calendar sync
Connect Google once. What you create in ChiesApp shows up in Google, and what you add in Google comes back. No double entry, and no volunteer working off a calendar that stopped being true three weeks ago.
- Automatic sync in both directions.
- More than one calendar supported.
- Conflicts handled automatically.
- Volunteer rotas export to iCal and PDF, for the people who live in another calendar app.
RSVPs, sign-ups and check-in at the door
For a normal event you ask for an RSVP: yes, maybe, no, with the counts in front of you before you order the food or set out the chairs.
For a bigger one you open registrations, send the ticket as a PDF and check people in at the door. If the event has a fee, the church lists its own methods: bank transfer, PayPal, cash at the door. The person declares the payment, a staff member confirms it. The money never passes through ChiesApp, so nothing is taken out of it.
- RSVP with yes, maybe and no counts.
- Registrations with tickets and check-in, from the Ministry plan: 300 sign-ups a month, unlimited from Growth.
- A public check-in page you can leave open on a tablet at the entrance.
- No commission on registration fees, because ChiesApp never touches the money.
- Attendance at services is still marked by a person. No face recognition, no biometrics.
Why churches in Europe choose ChiesApp
ChiesApp is church management software built in Europe, under European privacy rules, founded in 2025 by Gabriele Martucci and Lorenzo Pascalis and used every week in their own church. The interface is in English and Italian, the data stays in the EU, and each church’s data is isolated from every other one.
Unlike Planning Center, Breeze, ChurchTrac or ChurchTools, ChiesApp does not process online payments or donations. That is a design choice: the Resources module tracks and plans church money, it does not collect it. Church finances stay outside the PCI and PSD2 scope, and there is no cut taken on the way through.
- Cloud-based: nothing to install, you open it in a browser.
- Free up to 30 contacts, no credit card.
- Paid plans by member count: Starter (80 members, 5 admins, capacity only), then Ministry, Growth and Network.
- Two areas are paid and both open on the Ministry plan: Communication (spaces, pages, forms, lists and segments) and Resources (finances, projects, reports, café).
- Churches joining now keep their price.
Frequently asked questions
Does ChiesApp sync with Google Calendar?
Yes, both ways. Connect Google once: events created in ChiesApp appear in Google, and what you add in Google comes back into ChiesApp. More than one calendar is supported and conflicts are handled automatically.
Can I set up a recurring Sunday service?
Yes. Events follow a pattern with exceptions, so the service repeats on its own and you can skip or move a single date without rebuilding the series.
Can people RSVP to a church event?
Yes. You collect yes, maybe and no from members and see the counts before the day. For bigger events you can open full registrations with tickets and check-in at the door instead.
Are there fees on event registration payments?
No. ChiesApp does not process payments: the church lists its own methods (bank transfer, PayPal, cash at the door), the person declares they have paid and a staff member confirms it. The money never goes through ChiesApp, so there is no commission on registration fees.
Can I manage room bookings and avoid double bookings?
Yes. Rooms are booked with approval, bookings can recur, and overlaps are caught automatically. There is also a public booking page for people outside the admin team.
Is the calendar included in the free plan?
Yes. Calendar, events, rooms, activities and volunteer rotas are in every plan, the free one included, which covers up to 30 contacts with no credit card. Full event registrations, with tickets and check-in, come with the Ministry plan.
